In 2010, Band Shoppe celebrated its 40th Anniversary as one of the leading manufacturers of custom marching apparel. We would like to thank you, our customers, for making it possible to bring you the best quality products, fastest delivery and the highest standards of Customer Service.

Company History

Pearison Music Service began in 1970 as the brainchild of Charles and M. Susan Pearison. Located in a two-car garage next door to their home, Pearison Music Services specialized in instruments and instrument repairs. A staff of five served the Tri-State area. In 1979, seeing an increased need for a quality supplier of band uniforms and accessories, Pearison Music Service expanded into Marching Band Uniforms and created their very first catalog. The slim 35 page catalog featured a full line of band and guard accessories along with a small offering of band uniforms.

By the 1980s, Band Shoppe had grown into a full 4-color catalog, and in 1986, Band Shoppe expanded to include on-site manufacturing, enabling us to service customers with faster deliveries and higher quality products.

In 1996, to accommodate the rapidly growing company, Band Shoppe moved its corporate offices to our present location at 8900 Highway 65, Cynthiana, Indiana more than tripling our size. Band Shoppe made technological changes by adding web hosting capabilities and advances in digital print abilities to take the catalog and web site to the next level.

Pearison Inc. continued to diversify the company by adding a sister division, Embroidery Direct. This addition allowed us the opportunity to expand our embroidery capabilities to include corporate and sports apparel. In 2006, Band Shoppe began hosting our website at www.bandshoppe.com increasing our ability to service our customers with more information and product detail.

Today

Currently employing 85 people, Band Shoppe has come a long way since the days of Pearison Music Service but our core values remain the same: our 40-year tradition of quality products, prompt delivery and outstanding customer service. We continue to look forward with creative and innovative ways to provide customers the best possible products at the right price and offer outstanding sales and customer service representation.
